Kicking Off March in Style: A Fabulous High Tea Experience with the Chicago Fashion Coalition

As the chill of winter gradually melts away, ushering in a fresh new month, I had the delightful opportunity to attend the *Kicking Off March at the Chicago Fashion Coalition: Savor & Style — High Tea (Bridgerton Edition)*. Hosted alongside the delicious treats from Molly’s Cupcakes, this event promised a blend of elegance, fashion, and social interaction, and it did not disappoint!

- Walking into the venue, I was immediately swept away by the enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of the Regency era. The decor was a vibrant nod to *Bridgerton*, replete with floral arrangements, delicate china, and soft pastels that whispered of romance and high society. I knew I had to embrace the occasion fully, so I opted for a statement look that captured my personal style while still paying homage to the theme.
- I wore a stunning black high-low skirt that added a bold draping effect with its asymmetrical volume, striking the perfect balance between sophisticated and playful. The skirt swayed elegantly with each step I took, creating a sense of movement and grace akin to the elegant ballrooms from the show. To keep my look modern and chic, I paired it with a sleek graphic t-shirt that injected a bit of my personality into the ensemble.
- Accessories are crucial, and I made sure to step outside the box with a black mohair bucket hat that elevated my outfit, combining casual chicness with a hint of flair. Footwear can make or break a look, so I finished off my ensemble with maroon gathered boots that not only added a pop of color but also a bit of drama. Completing the outfit were my pearl-laced black elbow gloves, which added a touch of vintage charm and sophistication — a perfect nod to a high tea gathering.

- Once settled in, I thoroughly enjoyed mingling with some of the most stylish individuals in Chicagoland. The conversations flowed as easily as the tea, with laughter and sparkling discussions about fashion trends, personal style, and, of course, *Bridgerton*. The delightful treats from Molly’s Cupcakes were the perfect accompaniment to this gathering. Each bite was a sweet reminder of what it means to indulge in both culinary and aesthetic pleasures, aligning perfectly with the lavish experience we were celebrating.
- As the afternoon progressed, I couldn’t help but feel inspired by the creativity around me. It was a reminder of how fashion is not just about clothes — it’s a form of expression, a celebration of individuality, and a means of creating connections with like-minded souls.
- The highlight of the afternoon was undoubtedly the fashion show presented by Fabric Da Vinci, which showcased ten stunning looks curated with intention, texture, and a discipline of silhouette that made “Chicago couture” shine brightly on the runway. Each piece told a story—whether it was the exquisite detailing or the unique combinations of fabrics that reflected both sophistication and modernity. It was a true feast for the eyes, and I found myself inspired by the creativity and craftsmanship of local designers.
- Attending the Chicago Fashion Coalition’s High Tea was more than just a fashionable outing; it was a blend of community, creativity, and celebration of style that resonated with everyone involved. As I left the venue, I felt a renewed sense of inspiration, ready to embrace the upcoming spring days and all the fashion opportunities they would bring.
- Here’s to more fabulous events, stylish gatherings, and the continuing evolution of personal expression through fashion. Until next time, dear readers!
